Day 2: Sydney Kiama (130 km / 80 miles)Leisurely cruise via National Park to Kiama, optional trip to Minnamurra Rainforest or beach swim at one of Australias finest beaches.
To Bateman Bay, the large holiday hub with its charming, island-dotted bay. Ride via the scenic coastal route, many stops including sheltered Jervais Bay with its white beaches and crystal clear waters. Dolphins are regularly seen.
Visit to Australias Capitol district and captiol city.
Along the scenic mountain road (Snowy Mountains!) towards the coast.
Along the scenic coastal road to beautiful Lake Entrance.
Day 7: Lake Entrance Wilsons Promontory (305
km / 180 miles)Today we reach the State Victoria and visit the legendary natural wonderland of Wilsons Promontory National Park. This mountainous granite peninsula forms the southernmost tip of the Australian mainland and offers rich wildlife: kangaroos, wallabies, emus, koalas, wombats and colourful birdlife.
Even more wildlife is awaiting us tonight at Cowes, where the colony of Fairy Penguins is landing at dusk in front of stunned spectators.
Party time! Tonight we reach the huzz and buzz of Melbourne the art and events and sports and entertainment capitol of Australia! (The political capitol is Canberra)
