Riding Passion Tuscany / Italy

 May 2009   (10 days)

Fully Guided

Detailed Tour Itinerary

.

Day 1: Arrival Day

Arrival in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. Airport pick up and transfer to your accommodation. Relax until the briefing and dinner in down town.

During briefing we will ask every woman what she wants from her holiday; whether they prefer more riding or more sightseeing; what sort of speed they prefer; whether they prefer paved or dirt roads; how often they like to take breaks; if they would like to stop at picturesque points for photos; and so on.

Generally speaking, we tend to ride for 6/8 hours per day over paved back roads (dirt roads optional). Unless you have a preference to the contrary, we plan to stop every hour (or every 1,5 hours) for a drink at the road-side with a longer stop for lunch which we usually have at a restaurant. We can spend time for visiting the main attractions and taking in the major sights, and then head back to Italy's winding roads.

Day 2: Florence - Val d'Orcia (200 km / 125 miles)

We will ride in Siena direction over back roads taking in amazing sights of country houses, wild animals and typical picturesque spots until arrival at our holiday country house in the heart of Tuscany. At lunch time we will stop at a nice restaurant for light lunch.

In Val d'Orcia Valeria & Fabio will invite us to live the real Tuscany life in their amazing Farm House. They will prepare us lovely breakfast with hand made tarts made with jam and fruits of the season.

We will taste the real Italian food made by genuine and fresh country ingredients, transformed in the kitchen by the magic touch of Mario, the 'trattoria' owner, not far from Valeria and Fabio Agriturismo, like 'chianina' beef meat, home-made noodles, 'ribollita', 'pappa al pomodoro', and much more!

Day 3: Val d'Orcia, Crete Senesi (200km / 125 miles)
