Towanda Women Motorcycle Tours is the first motorcycle tours provider for women by women who invites women from all over the world to tour in the best motorcycle countries. We are motorcycle enthusiasts showing other motorcycle enthusiasts our paradise. Our tours introduce a new concept of motorcycling (and having fun) with like-minded women while gaining valuable insights into the culture, history and geography of different counties.

Tour participants don't need to be experienced - just a sense of adventure is enough. We cater for all levels of experience by providing different tour routes and also offer seats in the bus to non-riders (on selected tours only).

Towanda Women is a New Zealand based company run by Kiwis and a German with outlets in Australia, the USA, Germany and Switzerland. Although we have included tours in Norway, the USA and Australia, our main focus are tours throughout New Zealand.

Meet your tour guides

Leslie Turner, United States tours:

Leslie started riding motorcycles in 1989 and can't get enough of it. Upon moving to California with its relatively mild climate, she sold her car and adopted motorcycles fulltime. Commuting, day trips, long distance tours, even grocery shopping -- you'll find Leslie on one of her motorcycles. She has also been the captain of a GoldWing motorcycle drill team, and is presently a motorcycle safety instructor. Come ride with Leslie to discover the wonderful scenery and roads of the U.S.

Clancy Hunt, New Zealand tours:

Clancy is a real Kiwi (as the New Zealanders call themselves). Ever since Clancy spent her furniture money on a gorgeous Honda NV 750 Custom, she lives life to its full potential. She will introduce you to New Zealand's flora and fauna, Maori legends and everything you never dared to ask.

Tina Hartung, Australia & New Zealand tours:

Tina came to New Zealand from Germany 11 years ago and her enthusiasm for the unique riding opportunities topped with stunning scenery just never stops. As editor at New Zealand's own motorcycle magazine "Kiwi Rider" she gained valuable insights into the motorcycle scene Downunder. Being a travel journalist by trade she sure knows the best places and how to get there.

Doris

Doris rides everything with wheels: trucks, fire-engines, motorbikes… you name it. Originally from Switzerland she visited New Zealand and Towanda years ago and stayed ever since. Doris is a great person to have around: an endless source of fun, skills and good energy.
